Warranty
Unified Limited Warranty
Stone Yard Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the terms and conditions described below. This unified warranty is intended to simplify and standardize coverage across all brands while maintaining competitive protection relative to industry standards.
Stone Yard products made from Fiberglass, Fiberstone, GFRC, Steel, and Aluminum are warrantied for a period of three (3) years from the invoice date against defects that occur as a direct result of the manufacturing process under normal use and service. Covered defects include blistering, peeling, flaking, cracking, splitting, cupping, rotting, and structural failure.
Stone Yard may optionally offer a one-year finish warranty covering peeling, flaking, or blistering of paint, coatings, or textures under normal use. Variations in color, UV fading, chalking, oxidation, and other effects from natural weathering are excluded from finish coverage.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. The warranty period begins on the invoice date.
Notification of Warranty Claim
If a defect is discovered, the purchaser must notify Stone Yard in writing within 30 days of discovering the issue and prior to performing any repair, alteration, or removal of the product. Notices must include:.
- A description of the defect
- Clear photographs of the issue
- Proof of purchase (invoice)
Stone Yard must be allowed reasonable time to inspect the product. If Stone Yard determines that the claim falls within warranty coverage, Stone Yard will, at its sole discretion, repair the defective material, replace the defective material, or refund the original purchase price. Replacement products may vary slightly in color or texture and are not guaranteed to match the original product exactly. Any repair or replacement does not extend the original warranty period; the remaining portion of the original term continues to apply.
Stone Yard’s total liability will not exceed the original purchase price of the warranted product. Labor, removal, installation, equipment, or other associated costs are not covered.
Limitations of Warranty
This warranty will be considered void if any of the following conditions apply:
- Improper installation or failure to follow Stone Yard installation guidelines.
- Movement or failure of the supporting structure or ground.
- Damage caused by accidents, vandalism, misuse, neglect, or improper storage or handling.
- Modifications or repairs not authorized by Stone Yard.
- Use of chemicals, paints, or surface treatments not approved by Stone Yard.
- Adverse environmental conditions, air pollution, corrosive exposure, or improper cleaning agents.
- Naturally occurring weathering, including fading, chalking, patina, surface variation, or expected material changes from environmental exposure.
- Use of aluminum products as water features or under excessive load conditions.
- Damage caused by inappropriate soil types, inadequate drainage, or freeze–thaw cycles contrary to guidelines.
Freight and Transit
Damage occurring during freight transit is not covered under this warranty. Visible freight damage must be recorded at delivery while the product is still on the pallet. Concealed freight damage must be reported promptly within the carrier’s claim window.
Stone Yard will assist with claim documentation, when possible, but the carrier holds responsibility for freightrelated damage.
Code Compliance
Purchasers are responsible for consulting local authorities regarding load-bearing requirements, installation regulations, or zoning restrictions. Stone Yard assumes no liability for improper installation or non-compliant applications.
